Subsequently there are scenarios which can increase the timescale by up to 6-12 weeks through no fault of Personal Numbers, i.e. an increment in DVLA workloads or postal service interruptions e.g strikes / delays, etc. In these circumstances, our dedicated after sales team will ensure all delays are minimised and transfers are facilitated promptly and efficiently.
VAT is only applicable on the sale of personal numbers from our own stock, Government issue stock, or third-party vendors which are VAT registered. Personal numbers that are listed for sale on behalf of non-VAT registered third-party vendors are not subject to VAT.

For example a vehicle with the registration mark M103 LYM, which was registered on or after August 1994, could not transfer the registration mark AD03 KMZ, which was registered on or after March 2003, as it would simply make the vehicle look newer / younger than it really is. Plates which bear no age identifier i.e dateless can be assigned to a vehicle of any age.
